E-mailed support with the same query before I posted here, no response there either. Disappointing.

I'm not sure how fast you expected a reply? I've checked through and couldn't find any e-mails from the e-mail address you used to register your forum account, did it come from a different address, or perhaps via Amazon/eBay?

We work office hours officially, though you'll often find some staff working extra hours during busy times. Forum responses aren't instant. Sorry you're disappointed, we do try to respond within 24 hours.

Can you confirm the name of the archive file you flashed your iMX6 with, there may be a different firmware we could suggest. Have you received a reply to your e-mail yet? If not, I'll check with the other staff what has happened.

I'm frustrated the box isn't working, sending mail to support and posting on the forum I expected at least a response, I posted here 11 am gmt didn't moan until 18.28pm gmt and even then only to highlight I hadn't got any help and the box was still fubarred.

I didn't flash the box I merely reset it using the reset and reinstalling original all details are in my original post and in the email I sent which by the way wasn't from the address I'm regged with but that hardlky matters as I still got no reply.

I'm not here for a fight or argument, only to get help with my iMX6 box.

Droidsticks? That is probably why I couldn't find an e-mail. We're [email protected]

Sorry, when you mentioned reinstalling the firmware, I thought you had actually flashed it to the device. Can you explain what you did when you "... ...reinstalling firmware via toothpick ... ..."

When you used a toothpick to access the recovery menu, which option(s) did you choose?

If you've not yet tried a Factory Reset, return to the recovery menu, select Wipe data/Factory Reset, and confirm you're certain. Once the process completes, reboot. Once this has been done, complete any set up screens if they appear, then once you are at the Android launcher's homescreen, please do NOTHING for 20 minutes. This will allow the apps to be reinstalled. After that, run the DroidBOX Wizard in XBMC again.

If that doesn't help, please e-mail us ( support@droidbox.co.uk ) with the info mentioned here - http://droidboxforums.com/threads/what-to-include-if-you-need-to-e-mail-us.364/ .

Sorry for the confusion re: email.
the information above is exactly the process I carried out. I followed your instruction again and on completion the same thing happened, its as though the box no longer outputs to my tv. Black screen and unresponsive. I shall email the correct support as suggested.
Thanks

Need some advice here, been in constant contact with support over the last few days and despite their best efforts and numerous firmware installs I'm still having the same issues whereby the iMX6 box crashes on xbmc. Each firmware install returns frodo 12.2 I am thinking maybe I should change this to the latest xbmc vers, if I do so will the droidwizard be lost ?

The latest XBMC Gotham release won't work out of the box on an iMX6, you'll need to disable hardware acceleration. If you send us an e-mail ( [email protected] ), with the details mentioned here - http://droidboxforums.com/threads/what-to-include-if-you-need-to-e-mail-us.364/ and ask for the DroidBOX Wizard URL and installation procedure, we can provide that.
I'm assuming you've already cleared XBMC's data (I don't officially work at the weekend, so I've not been through the e-mails we've received and sent)?
For what to disable in Gotham, see here - http://droidboxforums.com/posts/1203/ - though I should point out it hasn't worked for all customers with an iMX6. I've not tried it yet, but if you disable the same options, you could also try SPMC - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.semperpax.spmc&hl=en_GB - again you'll need to download the DroidBOX Wizard add-on and install it manually.

I decided to install the new tvmc app basically an automated vers of xbmc with all addons preconfigured, all went well and the box ran perfectly for a few hours, then suddenly it crashed again and I am back where I started. It seems the issues are the box itself rather than the xbmc install. where to now ?

Hi silent, I have emailed support again, I've been keeping them constantly updated and in fairness they've been responding fairly quickly. Unfortunately my problem still exists lol I appreciate the help and not being 'forgotten' lol

Back again, this time extremely frustrated. Support have asked me to "wipe data/factory reset" again, despite the fact I have done this numerous times, I've also reflashed the box 3 times with new firmware sent to me by support, to do so I "wipe data/factory reset" first before flashing firmware, each time I have reported this back to support and here on the forum of which I add a link to my support email. I've also had two different support agents respond to my emails which is causing even more confusion as one hand doesn't know what the other is doing and I'm having to repeat conversations. There is two case numbers for the one issue which only adds to the confusion, all of which adds to my frustration.

I'm replying to your e-mail now. Just need to get some information from a colleague, and I'll hit the send button.

Both I and Vlad e-mailed you. Using the same address as others got through OK on. It might be worth checking your spam folder?
Anyway, I've copied the text across into a new PM (conversation) on this forum, check your inbox in the top right corner of this page.

Hi Chris, the emails you sent were to my address I regged here with not to the email address I contacted support via, thats why I never seen them as I was checking my other email address. Anyway thats neither here nor there now as I've got them in the dm (thanks)
I have had a further chat with Jermaine and am going to try a newer vers of xbmc, I have the droid wizard in zip file, but, I have a feeling on reflection that the power supply could be at fault as it seems to be when under strain it crashes as though powers off. I don't have another PSU but will maybe purchase one if the newer vers of xbmc returns the same issues.

Many thanks for the assistance and my frustrations lol
