I've not heard of major compatibility issues with SPMC before, check the github issues page for known problems - https://github.com/koying/SPMC/issues.
Might be worth asking the author (if you've already uninstalled SPMC and reinstalled it), I'm not sure if there is an official forum/thread for it, but the freaktab one - http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?8363-SPMC - seems to get quite a lot of posts.

Just install the addon fusion, that will get you all the addons you want.

If you have had xbmc already installed before spmc then try this:
Go to home applications(not droidbox one)
Go to file manager
Android folder
Xbmc
Data
Addon
Copy droidbox wizard addon to download folder
Zip the copied folder
Open spmc
Install zip via spmc
Job done
