Hi

Is it normal when you come to reset the box it just sticks on the boot screen. Strange thing is if you leave the box unplugged for an hour or so it boots up. Its been happening since day one but its getting more and more annoying

No, it shouldn't behave like that. How long ago did you purchase it, and have you upgraded the firmware since then? It is possible that if a newer firmware exists, it may prevent this issue.

I have had since November last year but if im honest i have had lots of issues with it. May have posted this in wrong section as it was an android device but i flashed a linux fimware on it ( DBX-MCE-16apr2014-frodo-amlinux-update). Once it is on its plays brilliantly but if it freezes and i restart like i said it just sits on the droidbox logo.

Hi Silently i have received a copy of the above from support. Im having nightmare to get this into recovery or a firmware flash. Used a match and a toothpick button clicks in but still stuck on the droidbox logo. Tried this around 30 times tonight but with no avail.

If you don't mind losing access to the device for a few days, and trust the postman to take good care of it, you can send it to us, we'll flash it for you, and return the device. As it isn't our firmware, the warranty may be effected, you'd have to check with the guys in the office if that was a major concern. You may want to include this link - http://www.droidboxforums.com/posts/1693 and mention that Chris told you we'd flash it for you. I'm not sure how long it will take to get it back to you, as the office is quite busy this month, but the offer is there...

Thanks Chris I'll have another go. Flashed the firmware many times and each time the toothpick method is very hit and miss.
