Hi

I have downloaded the 4od app onto my droidbox. It loads fine but when I try to play something it says that we cannot play this content as this time and to restart the droidbox. This shows up even after esetting may times. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It may be that they are blocking devices using an HDMI cable (instead of a built in screen like a tablet or phone). If that is the case, there is an Xposed Framework module designed to try and sidestep this issue. If you don't get another reply here in 24 hours, please post a response to grab my attention.

Sorry for the delay, I've been ill and away from work.
You can download the Xposed Framework from here - http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c.apk (current as of 29th Jan 2015, check http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer for the most recent version). The 4oD module for this framework is described here - http://repo.xposed.info/module/io.nath.c4ontv
Your device will need to be rooted, and you'll need to install that first APK and follow their instructions for enabling it (reboot(s) required). Then download and install the 4oD enable HDMI module and enable it (this can done within the framework, or you can manually install the module from the second APK link above).

I've just tested the 4oD Android application on my T8, and the adverts play fine, but after that I only get audio from the actual TV program, no video. I tried the Xposed framework module, but to no avail. I've also looked at http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=191599 for an XBMC add-on, but due to Channel 4 taking the mobile version of the streams down, the add-on no longer works.
You could try searching for the TV series/films from Channel 4 in Genesis or Navi-X or some of the others there, but unless Channel 4 update their Android app, catchup from 4oD directly won't work. You should be able to get live streams of Channel 4 via the Tv Player add-on, amongst others.
