Hi

Just wondering why when i set the resolution to 1080p, it shows it as 1008 on xbmc. Is it a glitch or something. Also, once i switch off the device then power it back up and launch xbmc its says something like preparing for first time. Is that normal?

Fantastic device tho

Most likely the little Android bar at the bottom of your screen (back, home, recent apps buttons etc) is 72 pixels high. XBMC only counts the pixels that it can use to display videos etc.

1080-72=1008

If you had your resolution set to 720, the number would probably be 648.

If you FIRST hide the Android bar (BEFORE you start XBMC) by clicking on the downward arrows (assuming your device and firmware combination have this), then you'll get a full 1080 pixels of height.
To restore the bar afterwards, get your on screen cursor at the bottom of the screen, hold down the OK button, and "flick" the cursor back. If your remote control doesn't allow you to do this, you can (temporarily if you prefer) plugin in a USB mouse to your DroidBOX device.
