There was an official XBMC remote app from the same team as XBMC, but it doesn't seem to be in proper circulation any more.

A custom client - https://www.dropbox.com/s/woqd3p2fy9qkxj8/RC_Client_PHONE.apk?dl=0 . This is to control the device anywhere,not just XBMC, but this won't work with all firmwares, and I'm not sure if this client app is for X7 and other RockChip devices, or the client for the AmLogic (iMX6, M6 etc) devices - download and install this on your tablet. Enter the IP address for your X7 Ultimate (the auto scans never seem to get anywhere on my network at least), and see if it works. If not, let me know and I'll find a different APK hopefully
