No problem Dave. I've just reinstalled it and then updated it straight away. I then exited xbmc and rebooted and it's disappeared!
Have now reinstalled it again without updating and exited xbmc. Have gone back in and its still there and working! No us or them message but the old AAA Live TV logo is showing (the pink one).

I've just done this and seems ok so far, but won't hold my breath. I used it for loads of stuff and like Paul said I don't like being held to ransom. Thanks Guys

Here here Sal. The whole add on was just disappearing Dave and I had to reinstall from zip several times. It works when I first install it but the problem seems to be in exiting xbmc. Now when I reboot, the add on is still there but when I click on it nothing happens. Reboot again and lo and behold the add on has vanished again.
So it will stay installed and working as long as you don't exit xbmc.

I have been scouring the net all day trying to find an answer on how to resolve this. I will not be told what I can have on my open source platform, so BYE! BYE! to Mettlekettle.

Its not just metalkettle though. The whole of the xmbc/kodi developer community are up in arms against what aaa have done. as others have said there are many alternatives out there.

Update. Apparently the AAA wars are over, they have all kissed and made up and sanity has been restored. Devs have removed their blocks. I've not tried a reinstall yet (guidance is in the AAA facebook page). Will try later today and report back.

Yes got the same as well Dave. You'll need to do a reboot of xbmc to complete the install.

Hi Dave. I think I know the answer. I had done the first download on an old android tv box as an experiment.
I updated my t8 this morning.
The initial download still gave me the "tv boxes" version. Maybe some left over code from the hacked version that was part of the war.
However, if you open this version, you will see an "update" button.
Hit this, wait for the confirmation message and then exit AAA.
Open it again and AAA should be restored in its full glory - no need to reboot.
