I have gotten into the habit of always clicking on the acestreams app prior to opening kodi , but a pal advised me today that as long as i have p2p enabled , there's no need , is that correct ?

Somewhere over the rainbow
Yes, if you go to p2p stream and hover over then press menu so you get the sub menu up, then click, add-on information, then Configure. Now highlight Download modules on boot....this should work.

Good luck

AceStreams Engine or AAA?
One is an add-on - AAA, the other is to enable XBMC/Kodi/SPMC to play AceStream based streams.
Re AAA, there is another thread on that here, trying to find out what is happening.

Way I understand it acestream has app or you can set p2p Addon instead of app then there's
.aaa Addon which is what won't install if I check my add ons I think it has the so called fake version one with image of middle finger. This might be stopping the real one from installing possible a feud between the creator of. Aaa and xunity.
