when i turned my box off today both LED's on the vip remote started flashing continuously and when i turned the box back on every button i pressed on the remote sent me to some media player menu page (gray screen, row of menus on top) i tried to re-pair it with the box and now it doesnt work at all.

Please put the remote on charge if it was not charged already.Try to connect the remote with USB cable on your box and see if it would perform the same.
