hi all i have a clear ldk landscape edition and am having some issues....

here is what i have for it and the steps i performed to figure out whats wrong.

my problem is that the game, so far playing nintendo roms and sometimes genesis roms it freezes the system....i was using a 256 gb card to run the firm ware and store the games.....the games would play for a while and eventually freeze up causing me to switch off and on the system. after a while i figured it was the size of my sd card that i was using so i made a 32 g card just for the firm ware and was using the 256 k card to store the games....still would freeze....eventually i took out the external card figuring it was the quantity of roms on the card....adding just one nes rom to the 32g card’s memory....still would freeze.....then i tried one of the preloaded games on the system, quake to be exact...that would freeze it to....i have “the latest stable” release of the firmware....still freezes....how do i determine if its the firm ware or the hard ware? and sometimes the unit turns on to a blank screen... thanks

Exact same problem im having. Iv only tried snes and megadrive games and they play fine for a few minutes then randomly it will freeze up or exit back to the rom selection screen.
When its frozen in game i can still press the menu button and access the emulator options screen so dont know what the issue is.
I get the feeling like its crash due to cpu overheat or ram issue. Very odd.

The easiest way to figure out if it's the firmware or hardware is to swap SD cards. If the problems persist when you've tried multiple microSD cards and firmware installations, the issue almost certainly lies with the unit itself somehow.

Mind telling us how you fixed it? It'd be useful for anyone in the future experiencing problems with their LDK :)

Hi, it was firmware issue. It had retrofw on it and default clock speed was set to 600mhz which after testing a lot of stuff turned out to be the issue. My device is unstable at 600mhZ but works perfectly at 588mhz max.
Quake 2 was the best test since it would repeatedly fail in under 30 seconds.

I take it the landscape version i got has the non B revision cpu so cant handle the default clock speed that retrofw and retrofw2 come with.
Most stuff like atari2600 and nes etc i notice i can run full speed at like 300mhz cpu or less.
