Hi, it was firmware issue. It had retrofw on it and default clock speed was set to 600mhz which after testing a lot of stuff turned out to be the issue. My device is unstable at 600mhZ but works perfectly at 588mhz max.
Quake 2 was the best test since it would repeatedly fail in under 30...
Exact same problem im having. Iv only tried snes and megadrive games and they play fine for a few minutes then randomly it will freeze up or exit back to the rom selection screen.
When its frozen in game i can still press the menu button and access the emulator options screen so dont know what...
