Hi guys. I purchased a VIP remote several weeks back and so far i have only one problem. The function of the remote is perfect but the power doesn't last whether your using it or not if left without recharging it dies within 2 days. Is anyone else having this issue. Jon

By the Sound of it, you're using rechargeable batteries in it. I find that for some reason, some appliances don't take kindly to them. I use Energizer batteries and mine have been in the remote about 6 months and still going strong.

Hi robit. the remotes batteries are built in. It came with a usb cable for charging. Had it been as simple as changing batteries I wouldn't have posted it to the forum.

VIP Plus perhaps? https://droidbox.co.uk/droidbox-vip-plus-mini-keyboard-airmouse-remote.html , rather than the VIP at https://droidbox.co.uk/droidbox-tm-vipremote.html

Can you try something for a day or two please @John wallace ? When not using the remote control, can you put it upside-down on a flat and stable surface. If this extends the battery life, try putting the remote upsidedown wherever you like (so a soft sofa arm would be fine for example). If this still gives the same extended battery life, then I'd assume the reduced battery life is due to the remote interpreting the movement of the area it is located in as a desire to move the on screen cursor. With the DroidBOX turned off, the remote will still happily try sending commands all day long, so this could be the shortened battery life cause.

Thanks I'll give that a go and let you know.
