My 1 year old daughter got hold of the remote and now we have no sound whatsoever

Can anyone help me?! Tried everything (yes including the mute button) even reinstalled wookie altogether but still silence.

If a 1 year old can turn it off using the remote it shouldn't be this complicated to turn it back on!!!

HELP!!

Does "normal" tv sound work?
When you start the box does the problem exist with android apps like showbox and youtube?
Is the problem confined to kodi addons (kodi also has on screen volume controls).
Theres also volume controls on the remote to try?

Hi

It's in all apps. Checked BBC iPlayer app and no sound on that either.

I intermittently have this problem too on t8-s plus. A reboot or 2 seems to sort it out (until next time).

If it doesn't for you....go into android settings and ensure the media volume is up (if she's made it go to 0... mute on or off will stay silent).

If that is all good... make sure audio output (also in Android settings) is set to auto and then reboot.

Finally...make sure your hdmi cable is fully seated into both the box and the TV

Make sure both sound on the DroidBOX and on your TV is up. Also on your droidbox if you go into Settings from Home Screen then Advanced then check Digital Audio Auto Detect, Turn that On if it is OFF.

Another one to watch out (for older fiddlers) is the two sliders in Kodi. When a film is playing, bring the UI up (so you can see play/f.fwd etc) and look for a speaker or audio based icon (differs on different skins). Click it and look for two sliders at the top. One needs to be far left, one far right, for normal levels. You can boost a lot higher, but watch out for distortion if you go too far.
Once happy with the audio levels found, scroll down the menu and select the Save as default for all videos (or equivalent) option
