Have install Amazon Video App on T8-S with upgrade to ROM 2 (10 Nov 2015).
App runs, I can get to my watch list, can view trailers, but cannot watch movies.
Get a few seconds of spinning circle then back to watch list.
Anyone managed to get this working ?

I have seen similar problems reported on other forums. One user had posted this solution. I have not tried this so cannot vouch for it. See if it works for you. If it does, post here so others can use the solution.

Hi my own solution was to remove the Amazon app store and download the Amazon video apk. The Amazon apk when 'clicked' opens through Chrome and so far I have been able to watch amazon instant video without issue. It is annoying that the new Amazon video app does not function on the T8 but the apk does.

Hi. I have exactly this problem. I first noticed it after I upgraded the Amazon Video app to the one that is grey in the back ground and resembles Netflix in the way you can nav the film choices. There was no specific reason to upgrade only that I saw an update was available and selected it.
Previously when Amazon Instant Video app was loaded up the page was more like a browser and had a white background - it worked perfectly.

Now all I get is a spinning circle for a few seconds before it returns to the selection screen. :/

The Amazon Video app works perfectly on my tablet - seems to be a Droidbox issue. :/

@Nigelar Would you be able to run us through what you do to use Chrome as the video viewer? As in Turn on DroidBOX, download ABC or click on XYZ then press 123 etc. Thanks if you have the time.
@DriverofGolfs Sounds like there might be a workaround. Your tablet has a different GPU (I'm assuming) than the DroidBOX, so a problem with Amazon Video and displaying videos could appear on one piece of hardware, but not another. We'll see what is happening here.

Hi SS, sorry for any confusion, I quoted a solution from elsewhere rather than something I have done. I don't use the Amazon app. Unfortunately motif56 has not reported back with an update to confirm if the problem has been resolved.

Thanks @SilentlyScreaming, I really wish I hadn't updated my Amazon app. The old one worked fine but the temptation of getting new features got the better of me and now I don't have a functional Amazon app.

I've got exactly the same issue as Motif56. Can view trailers but can't watch anything. Very frustrating.

Try the earlier versions of Amazon Video and see if they are compatible. If i remember correct for some users older versions worked while the newer ones didnt.

The T8-S Plus (and I presume the Q8-S as well, don't have one to test with) works with Amazon Prime/Amazon Instant Video:

Though the skip forward/back 10 seconds buttons didn't seem to function. It used to work on the older KitKat and JellyBean based devices as well, but then Amazon broke something with an update to the application.
