libreELEC on T8s?

I see that the T8s plus is now being sold with libreELEC. Will this be available to install on the T8s? I hope there will be more updates for this box and I don't have to buy a new one to keep up with the latest version of kodi.

Hello @sherry

Currently there is no new update available for T8-S device but if there will be any future update for T8-S then DBX will definitely inform you.
Also you can update Kodi on Android side to the latest version by uninstalling current version and reinstalling the latest version but openelec will be updated only once an update will be released from DBX.

Thanks for the reply. I love using kodi through openelec due to the fast boot time and boots directly into kodi. Really handy if I have to do a reboot. Hopefully there will be an update.

even now in a new box T8S plus i have this same issue with Librelec - never ever seen it yet as it just goes to a blank screen on switching from android to librelec

Having raised the issue again with Droidbox they now tell me this morning there is a bug and they will fix it in the next release so now i must wait until such time the fix is available = no timescale mentioned.
