Hi

As box is rooted is there a way to edit home screen shortcuts? I want to get it so when press media centre it opens Kodi instead of DBMC.

Or would it be better to use a different launcher as the weather app does not pick up or location.

The home screen buttons are effectively fixed (not entirely true, if you can code, you can probably tinker with an xml file). You can of course put a Kodi icon in the shortcut area on the right hand of the screen. The weather icon can be a bit temperamental, but it should eventually pick up a network connection. It may perform a bit better if you switch location settings on in android settings.
I have successfully used alternative launchers which of course are totally customisable. There are many in the Google play store. I have used the "nova" launcher in particular, with some nice wallpapers from "wallpapers HD".
