I have a droidbox t8s - never really had an issues.

Have not been able to use OpenElec for about 12 months - when it loads, after about 1min it completely freezes...have been using android version of kodi since which has worked perfect but a little slower than OpenElec.

My Kodi is still running on 16.1 and i've always used a wookie build.

Tonight a bunch of add ons have completely stopped working such as UK Turks, Halow Live TV, Adrian Sports, Bob, DC Sports, Evolve, Exodus, Specto, Sanctuary, Phoenix etc

Any reason for this? Any Fix?

Thanks

There could be any number of reasons.
When you say stopped working what do you mean precisely?
Do you see any error messages?
Do the Addons searches complete with nothing returned etc etc?

Are you connected to the Internet, the connection may have dropped?
Are your Addons out of date: are you using a build which is not updating?

This may be relevant - what ISP are you with. Some ISPs have been unilaterally switching child and smart set up controls on without user intervention. Check if you can access this site from the browser on the box.

If you can provide more info then we can take this forward and help you.

Sorry @palpatine my reply was to @Bambam .

In your case there are known problems with URL resolvers affecting exodus and specto. Need to wait for fixes I'm afraid.

In the meantime with respect to exodus, the best I can suggest right now is to go into exodus settings/tools and clear providers.

Initially when i loaded kodi a bucnh of error msgs came up bottom right usually where it confirms updates had taken place etc. Unfortunately i no longer have the specific error message.

Now when i go to use Uk Turks live tv..i select the channel and then get the standard ' playback failed' with again a generic 'uk turks playlist error - check yhe log for more information'.

Its only been since a new version of kodi has been released. Mine still runs on 16.1. I think you're right in terms of the build possibly not being updated. Ive reinstalled wookie but no change. I may just need to wait for a new build.

Im with Sky and have never had any issues while the rest of the builds apps work fine.

I would check sky shield settings via the browser on the box - they have been setting them on without the user knowing.

Is the wookie still functioning? Haven't heard much from them recently. Why not install Sean's build as an alternative - you will need the Ares wizard installed to get it.

So ive turned the box on today and the message now states - version check - using 16.1 stable while 17.1 stabke is available. A new stable version of kodi is available. So how do I update to the new version?
Thanks

Several choices:
- google play store
- official kodi tv downloads section
- think droidbox market may have a version
- the tvaddons site usually has links
