With the USB ports on the box, is there a way to attach a thumb drive and make it so that it works as an addition to the internal cache of the box? Say I have a box with 1GB/8GB memory and the RAM is running close to the max, is there a way to increase that without having to buy another box?

If your Android device runs Android 6+ then it would be possible, by going into Settings -> Storage -> External Storage -> Select the desired target -> Format as Internal
