Im looking at a new box and Ive noticed there is no 10/1000 gigabit speed boxes and also no LE/Duel Boot boxes. Am I right or am I missing something???? I use LE on my box and its flawless, is there a reason why Droix has dumped Duel boot or LE?
Is there a reason why there is only 10/100 connectivity?
I would love to hear from anyone who can shed light on this please and also - what if any is the future for Droix boxes and LE OS.
Regards
Dave

We do not have any dual boot devices with LibreELEC at the moment. We do not have any planned for the near future but hopefully something further down the line.

Thanks for your reply. That is such a shame for LE users - especially when Droix Boxes are excellent.
Is there any reason why they have been discontinued and not planned for ?

Kszaq has dropped his support for LibreElec on amlogic devices, 9.0.1 (kodi 18.1) was his last update on L E. CoreELEC is a fork of L E and with support for most amlogic devices gets regularly updated also. Latest Build 9.0.3 (kodi 18.3) with another release in the making after the release today of kodi 18.4. In a nutshell L E is dead in the water. C E forum link below

Thanks for that. Im attaching three pics in the hope you can advise me please. The first is the message in the top left and the whole thing won't launch. Then after restart it works perfect.
When I go into updates - I can see an update channel and I can select one of two - but Im worried about screwing it up.
Can you help or advise please
Thanks mate
Dave

The L E 9 update does not exist on your box until the firmware is upgraded by droix and will not be happening as its an older device. I dont see any annoying updates as have been running kodi Leia from an sd card L E 9.0.1 now C E 9.0.3 for a long while now. The box is out of warranty now and to upgrade you need to diy, the f/w is available incase of any mishaps.

OK thanks for that. I may factory reset to see how it goes. It works perfect if I turn it off then on again.
OR - I may just start using the Kodi side 18.2 and see how I like it.
Which box do you recommend for speed and stability? I don't do gaming at all. Also - is there no 10/1000 gigabit boxes any more?
Thanks mate for your help.

Think you should try a box that solely runs LibreElec ie. a wetek play which is compatible with the latest L E f/w's and updates. Knowing your a linux guy:)

Hi again,
Is this better than LE? as I will give it a go but I am unsure. Does it act the same - and do I have to run it from a USB so I can still have the option of rebooting into android if I so wish?
Will you be able to advise me a little so I can get my head around installing and running this please mate?

You need to run it from an sdcard only Dave, it runs just as well as L E. With improvement as is always being developed. It is kodi 18.3 for amlogic s905 chipsets. Original remote works fine and also connects bluetooth to soundbar etc. I sent you a dm this morning with the how to guide and a link to the C E image. Of course I will help you to get it up n running, as have said before it is only run externally from sdcard and doesnt affect the internal f/ws on your t8 mini when the sdcard is removed.
