Hi,

Had my RG350M from droidbox for a couple of months now.

Was using it today and the screen froze and then turned off. It now won't turn back on. It still displays the red charging light when plugged in, and when it is unplugged the green light is on as if it is charging, however it does not turn on.

TIA

Have/had RG350M for about a month, got it from Amazon.de DroidX DE. I was testing about 40 XMAME games to make sure they all work while I had network turned-on and connected to the device with FTP in order to copy ROMs. While playing a game, the screen dimmed, faded and went black. I spent 1-2 hours rebooting and recharging with no luck. Even tried to flash SD card with fresh official image from GitHub on both new and original SD card, no luck. Then it hit me, could it be the screen dead? I tried to start a game in blank screen and bam! the game started, I could hear its sound but nothing on the screen. So, either XMAME caused the screen to fuse, or the combination of network/FTP and XMAME caused the screen to fuse, or simply the screen fused. I let it rest completely without touching it for 30 minutes. Restarted it and got the logo. Left it for about 10 minutes, then it faded and got black again. Now its been over 6 hours that its dead. I can start the games (I can hear the sounds), I can dim the brightness (Power+Up/Down) which changes the intensity of the back light, but nothing on the screen. Followed every lead on the internet and in this forum, no luck. I am convinced the screen hardware got fused somehow from XMAME. I placed a claim in Amazon DE just in case I can get a refund and I ordered a new one from DroidX UK. I can't help wondering though, how XMAME could fuse the screen? Could it be it was its time to get ghosted and by coincidence XMAME was running? Curious. Does anyone else have similar experience with this hardware?

Unfortunately, we never heard of any such combination issue before from any users, but this seems like something to be tested on device. Please feel free to let us know if you see any such issues on device from droix.net.

Hi VikramDroix, thanks for the reply. The device was from DroiX, I bought it from Amazon.DE. The new one I am bought is also from DroiX, but bought it from Amazon UK this time. Thought this way I would get one from a different batch.

Im having issues with my RG350M.... used it for a few weeks and this is first time its needed charging, but will not power up. Been on charge for 4 hours now, no charging light displaying on device while charging. I also tried a different USB-C incase it was a faulty cable.

Ok, I found this forum looking for an answer because I was experiencing the same problem. I had always used my iPad charger on my rg350m with no problem until I spent a couple of weeks away and left it without a charge for an extended period of time. When I attempted to recharge the battery, I got nothing. No indicator light, unit wouldn’t turn on, nada. Today I realized that the iPad charger really isn’t rated to properly charge the rg even though it also uses usb-c so instead, I plugged it into a usb wall outlet adapter I have and “voila”, light came on immediately and all was right in the world once again. So although this thread is quite a few months old, I figured I’d come back and let you know all is not lost and there’s a possibility you had the same problem I did and can get things sorted out before chucking your handheld out of the nearest window and cursing ambernic forever. Posting a photo example of what I mean.
