Hey guys! Got my shiny new RG351V today, and I loved it - for 2 hours, at least!

The issue is that the buttons have stopped working in games, although the D-pad and joystick are fine.

I've tested the buttons using the Emuelec button test utility from the main menu (under "All games/000 - input test") and they all register, so there's no hardware fault. However, when I start a game, they stop working.

I *think* it's a software issue with Retroarch - if I start the Retroarch interface outside a game ("select/start retroarch") then I get the same behaviour - I can navigate the menu but not press any buttons to select the options. My guess is that an input setting has been inadvertently overwritten (no idea how; I've only played games, not messed with the settings) and now I can't access any options to check or undo it.

Any thoughts? At the moment my console is unusable. Ah well, it was a glorious 2 hours while it lasted!

Thanks!

(edit) def appears to be a retroarch thing, as the DS emulation still works

I think I remember someone having a similar issue to this with the RG351P.
What's likely happened is that somehow the controls have become de-mapped in RetroArch.

While in EmulationStation, follow these steps:
> Press Start
> Select "EMUELEC SETTINGS"
> scroll down
> Select "DANGER ZONE!"
> Select "RESET RETROARCH CONFIG TO DEFAULT!"
> (If that fails, try "RESET SYSTEM TO DEFAULT CONFIG")

Does that fix things for you?

Hi there, how do you get to this input test menu? I can’t seem to find it?

I don't recall ever seeing a button testing application on the RG351Vs.
The 350's definitely had a handy tool for doing so, but not the 351's.

If you press start and go to Game Collection Settings, ensure that the All Games collection is displayed. If you can't find the "000 - input test" entry in that section, then your device probably doesn't have one.
