hi, box 4days old been working fine, today boots up fine, everything loads and works apart from xbmc it just goes to blank screen. Newbie please help.

Can you try wiping XBMC's data and then re-run the wizard of you want our suggested video add-ons installed in XBMC. See https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/wizard-updated-2015-february/ for links and instructions. That should prevent the black screen from appearing. If it doesn't last long, repeat this procedure, but this time XBMC has finally opened, head to System>Appearance>Skin (click entry) and click on the Confluence skin, instead of the Confluence Customizable Mod version. Confirm you want to keep your choice, and then exit XBMC - you should find it helps. All the add-ons would still be accessible, instead of Media Portal, head to Video>Add-ons.
Thanks this worked for the similr problem I had. Only minor point xmbc won't power down from the button next to the star is this an issue?
What happens when you click it? Leave it a good 15 minutes before assuming it will never close down. Assuming it does eventually close, check if it is any quicker the next time.
I have the same problem screen goes blank, can return to apps and try again same problem, cant get into it to download wizard, have done factory reset, click xmbc comes and says doing first time run, screen goes blank and that's it. also SPMC does nothing, should it do something ?

Might be time to use live chat on our main site,, the link is on the front of this forum, click on it then the message box bottom right corner.. Also on the site half way done there's a link for tips on running your boxes...I think you've done everything I would tell you, but aways after clearing data wait a few mins before opening xbmc.
Can you clear both XBMC and SPMC's data please. See my previous post in this thread for a link to the blog post.
