You could try a factory reset: insert a match into the A/V port on the back of your iMX6.
You should be able to feel initial resistance, and then a button being depressed. Keep your stick/pick in place. Power up your device, and remove the match once you see a text based menu appear (this is the Recovery Menu).
Using your remote control, select the Wipe data/factory reset option (if the OK button doesn't "click" the entry, use the Go Back button on your remote instead. You'll need to confirm you're certain you want the device to be wiped clean.
