AmLogic Remote Control - App

There is a app installed by default called Remote Control, and has reference to AmLogic in its main screen.

What does this app do?, how do I use it ?.

Where can I get an update to the app?.

On my box the app is called smartremote.
It looks like a remote control client app.
Normally these are installed on phones and tablets to provide android box and Kodi remote control functionality on those.
Quite why it has been installed on the Droidbox itself is unknown as it serves no apparent purpose.
If you are interested in using your phone or tablet as a remote then there are better apps out there such as Droidbox share or smart iremote (both in Google play store).
