Android box x7 and raspberrypi

Ok my set up
Androidbox x7 in living room with 2tb hdd for all movies etc
Raspberrypi openelec in bedroom.
Tonight went to bed early to watch some stargate as was feeling ill. After finishing I shutdown the raspberry pi.
Went to living room 5 mins later to switch the android box off only to find it had shut down.

I was watching movies from the hdd attached to the androidbox from the openelec on the raspberrypi.
Switching off the raspberrypi did I really switch off the android box, is that possible?

I've not come across an Android device set up that way before. It definitely wasn't just sleeping/in standby?
You could probably set up a script to do that, and once SU had flashed up the root access query on the X7 once, and it was allowed, it would happen in the future.
Strange one, this!

No it was def switched off, had to boot up again to domanfew things. Not worried just an observation.
