Any way to locally download files?

Hey all.
I have a T8 box and a pretty poor internet connection at times, so it can get difficult to stream what I want to watch.
Is there any way to locally download files onto my box when my internet's good enough to stream, and then watch them back from my storage when my internet gets too bad to fully stream?

Some addons have download functions you will have to look for them. Genesis for example allows downloading via the tools menu but is not being maintained.
The android showbox and movieshd apps also support downloading.
Keep an eye on storage though.
