Are virus' possible on the android boxes?

I've been putting off updating kodi on my ti4 until I had the time to sit down with it. I just found a video on YouTube that seemed fairly easy to follow along with until I started hitting a couple glitches..... Then I had to sign into "spartan pixel.net" so I did it on my laptop because it was quicker and all of a sudden I got a loud voice telling me I had a virus and not to do any online shopping. I'm dealing with the laptop but Im not sure how to undo everything I did with this spartanpixel stuff on my ti4 box. My Kodi has been deleted but now I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes malware exists on android.

Though it sounds very much like you had a spoof virus alert. You said you had a voice....any other windows pop up?

What anti-virus do you run on the laptop

There were no other pop ups. The original had a phone number it told me to call which I didn't. I immediately rebooted the laptop and ran a full scan. Everything seems fine. I have Kaspersky.
