Am helping a cousin start up her new droidbox 7. Added complication is that it has to be via the telephone and I cannot see what is on her screen. She is able to get the WiFi marked as connected, but when we try to advance, it shows no date and time adjustment and no connection with the internet. Have tried Google and others with the response that they are unable to connect...sorry.
So I posted an ether net cable to her just to see if the WiFi was the problem, and again with the WiFi setting off and the ether setting on, nothing is coming through. In fact while she has the ether cable connected and WiFi turned off, it will turn itself on.
She has had the unit for about three months now, and we are both becoming a bit frustrated. We have checked the router and there s no problem with all its other duties and provides internet and WiFi capabilities with all other plug-ins.
What do you suggest is the next step?

Sounds like you need to contact droidbox by email or phone. On the home page of this site at the bottom the main droidbox site and then contact us. You could try a box reset by going into android settings, backup and reset which should take you to a just installed state and reset default settings. If the box is faulty this won't help but it's worth a try.
