I had the same problem on this device with ethernet connected and setting a static ip address fixed it, look here:-

Hello!can you please help me out how to change my setting to static please?im realy confused what vallue to put on,ip,gateway,dns etc...my router ip address is 192.169.1.1.thanks

There is an easier way that can setup a static ip from your pc, login to your router and find connected devices and can be change for each device within there.

From your router IP address @Cliford I would GUESS these values can be used on your DroidBOX for a static IP address:

IP: 192.169.1.140 (I'd assume this is the one that needs changing (you could also try 192.168.0.140 or 192.168.1.140) if these settings don't work, having 169 in an IP address always make me suspicious, as Windows assigns it via DHCP if it can't properly connect)

Gateway: 192.169.1.1

DNS: either just 192.169.1.1 or you could put OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) or Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) primary and secondary servers here.

Netmask: 255.255.255.0 or 24 depending on the format used
