Box randomly restarting

Hi,
I have been having an issue for the last few where my iMX6 randomly restarts itself whilst watching something on it.
Sometimes the box reboots straight away and loads ok and sometimes the box won't reload for 5-10mins
Is this a faulty device?
I have only had the device 1 week so a little annoyed at the moment with the crashing but these things happen
Can anyone advise?

Does the rebooting always occur with a certain application (XBMC for example)? If you boot the device up and open something like the Twitter app up, if you then leave the device overnight does your iMX6 still show Twitter in the morning?
If the strange behaviour only occurs within XBMC or a different application, we can look at wiping the app's data and start again or ensuring that the application has had the latest updates installed (see https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/googles-play-store-signing-in-and-auto-updates/ for Android apps in general, and https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/wizard-updated-2015-january/ for XBMC add-ons specifically). If the reboots occur with any app open, then a factory reset may help (see https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/how-to-access-your-droidboxs-recovery-menu/ ).

Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't tested other apps on xbmc and it always does it on there. I will try launching an app tonight and check again in the morning.
In regards to the latest updates, I have signed in to my google app account and no apps are showing to update.
Before I factory reset do I need to do anything or just follow the steps on the page u have linked?

Re the factory reset - make sure you've copied off any important files from your device's internal memory (downloads, pictures etc etc). You can move them back to the DroidBOX after the reset has completed.
