Can you download movies & save onto an external drive?

Hi

Just a quick question really - can you download movies from the iMX6 and save onto an external hard drive so we can watch it at a later date?

If so, could someone please advise?

It depends on the application or XBMC add-on you're using to watch the film.
As you're using an iMX6, and therefore JellyBean version of Android, an app like DirectoryBind or Link2SD might help (see http://www.droidboxforums.com/posts/2369 ) once you know which directory is normally used for downloading.
If you don't know whether your app or add-on can download (rather than stream) films, try looking for an options menu (for apps) or pressing the C key (if your controller has a QWERTY keyboard) or Menu button, instead of pressing OK when you'd normally start watching a video stream.
