So i bought a droid box awhile back that I like very much. The Droid box im6 firmware seems to be much snappier then other ROMs that I have tried.
So when i came into another MX box, I decided to change the firmware to the Droid Box.

So i installed the Droidbox FW, along with the Droidbox XBMC.
Unfortunately the new MX box is not as Fast as my original MX box that is running the exact same FW and XBMC version.

Example:
Using project free tv and downloading the package from "last 24 hours". My original MX Droid box is so much faster then my new MX Droid box.

And the new MX2 is heavier then my old Mx2 box.....

Questions:
1. Any ideas on why one mx2 box would be much faster then another mx2 box when both are running the same OS ans XBMC version?

2. Why would the new MX2 box be heavier then the old MX2 box?

3. Do clones exist that use a slower chip but are manufactured with the same external box?.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

1. You could use something like Z - Device Test ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=zausan.zdevicetest&hl=en ) to see if any hardware differences are reported.

2. Possible that different hardware revisions use different cooling techniques (different heatsyncs)

3. Do "clones" exist? Yes. Also, even if a device isn't a clone, it can have an identical case in use. We've had some companies trying to sell inferior hardware, pretending that it is a DroidBOX. Basically just trying to profit from our reputation. That said, we've also sold iMX6 devices with different logos printed on them - see https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/my-imx6-device-has-mx-printed-on-it-is-it-genuine/ . If you purchase a device from DroidBOX.co.uk , or via the XBMCGadgetshub shops in eBay or Amazon, they are genuine hardware. If they're purchased from anywhere else, we obviously can't make any guarantees.
