Ignore this thread if you're not interested in using a different OS on your X7, or the idea of typing in commands instead of clicking with a cursor doesn't interest you...

FreakTab has a thread with info about using a microSD card to boot your X7 (those with a Q7 label on their X7 should find it works, and I think EKB311B may also work) into Debian. Why do this? If your X7 has been replaced by a T8 etc, then it may be sat in a drawer not doing much. If you don't yet have a server set up at home, this approach could turn your X7 into one.

This is one for the compulsive tweakers/geeks/people who don't pay any attention to warnings about procedures that could invalidate your warranty. DON'T USE THIS OS IF YOU'RE NOT SURE WHAT THE LINKED TO THREAD IS DISCUSSING.
Please note we'll not offer ANY support here at DroidBOX for this procedure, however I know there are some customers with similar interests, and enjoy playing with new set ups.
