delete profile data addon.20

if certain addons fail to update i was told to rename or delete the .20 addon in the profile directory or rename.
What does this actualy do????
do it have a negetive impact as well as a positive one???

If certain addons fail to update, the best advice is to wait again until later. If you are using Seans build, then let him worry about it.

Why are your addons not auto updating?
Do you have auto updating switched off?

they are updating but every so often you get a red x sign when u start kodi saying something has failed so if u delet the addon20. it seems to work

I have seen this happen occasionally. In the majority of cases it resolves itself by just waiting. If it is happening on just a handful of addons and infrequently, I would avoid tinkering with addons20.db or whatever. It happens on the premier league addon for example, for known reasons. So ignore for now.
