Okay so spmc has updated to 16.7 fixing security flaws today..when is Dbmc going to put a update? I installed spmc because I know dbmc uses spmc code but it doesn't update dbmc..

Give the guys a chance! The new version of spmc was only released today.
The good news is that the new spmc version contains the python fix to enable SSL streams as well.

It's a matter of choice. Everything will work with the new spmc fixes based on jarvis so a dbmc based on it will be good enough for me.

is DBMC 16.6 safe I ask because I saw that kodi 17.2 is required to be updated to 17.3 due to a security flaw ?
