I notice that Koying the SPMC developer has given up and is no longer maintaining the app.
DBMC (droidbox's version of kodi) is of course based on SPMC so I don't know if that means that there will ever be a kodi 17 Jarvis version of DBMC.
At any rate Kodi 17 has resolved most of the android related issues that were present in earlier versions of kodi.
Subject to comment from Droidbox, DBMC users may wish to consider migrating to official kodi to remain current.

Sad news as many android users favoured koyings spmc over kodi for all round stability. His last version 17.6 alpha 2 has been out for a while now and is another solid build imo, with no full release of krypton ever going to happen just a thought if dbmc could ever get the alpha update?

All the current devices should have Kodi on them and it can easily be updated via the Google Play Store when a new version is released. We do not have any news on a newer DBMC at the moment.
