Dave sorry for the delay in reply , i googled for new firmware and loaded it on my sd card and re did the toothpick reset thing and loaded new firmware. worked well.

My laptops just crashed as well so now having to completely 're install Windows.

Stressed ain't the half of it.

Sh-t happens, sorry to here that. I lost my blu ray player on mine a few weeks ago, so I went in YouTube to look for a fix and found one. I also upgraded to Kodi 14.1 on my laptop and its runs great. Hope you fix it good luck.
