I am using the T8S and it is running on kodi 16. I am looking to put kodi 17 on it but am being told the firmware needs to be running on at least 5.0 and mine is on 4.2.2.
Is there any way to update this please?
The droidbox t8s should be running 4.4.2 unless you have made a typo.
Amlogic s8xx chips which are used by the t8s are not capable of running lollipop android 5 successfully.
Kodi 16 will be good for many years yet.
