hdmi problem

My tv when using droidbox , screen goes black says ` 16:9` screen is black, flashes over to say " wide 1080p input" and screen shows droidbox again. Is this a bad hdmi cable or are my settings wrong., - auto switch to best resolution off, and set to 1080p-60hz. Cable or bad connection
Any help appreciated

Which DroidBOX model is it @Riccardo ? Might be worth trying 1080@50 and 720@60 and 50Hz just to be sure.
Also worth trying a different HDMI cable (don't necessarily need to buy a new one for testing, just swap with another device that uses HDMI).
Plugging in to a different TV or monitor (monitor doesn't need to have speakers, so can be anything with an HDMI socket).
