Is the reset you mentioned a Factory Reset/Wipe Data procedure, or just a reboot?
Normally (if your device was purchased in the last 9-10 months) after a factory reset, all the apps should be auto-installed, but you need to allow the process 20 minutes or so to complete, before rebooting again.
If it is ONLY XBMC that has gone, see this thread - XBMC Has Vanished!
If all apps are missing, and the device was purchased after November last year, I'd try a factory reset - How Do I Reset My DroidBOX To The Same State It Was Delivered?
I held the reset button in at the start and reset. Everything is gone. Xbmc and all the pre installed apps. I only got this about 3mth ago. Also now it says memory is low and cant download frodo xbmc or any apps.
You can either reinstall the APKs one by one from the preinstall directory - XBMC Has Vanished! - (it is the same instructions for all the programs, just click on the APKs you want to reinstall)
or flash a firmware - Firmware Upgrade Instructions for iMX6 Devices
