I've raspberry pi's so i know what retropie can do, but when i come to look at buying a handheld i have no idea of what each one is capable of.

I know it's probably alot of work but somewhere there really should a page listing each handheld and what it supports out of the box and then a list of it's custom firmware and then what that can support.

I'm completely lost and i'll probably end up with a waveshare gamehat just because i know what it can do.

The product pages for the handhelds we sell at https://droidbox.co.uk/gaming/retro-gaming-consoles.html will have information on what each device supports for emulators as well as some videos, if you scroll down the page to the technical specs. If you want a recommendation I would go for either of the RG300 models. It supports RetroFW which has all the standard emulators that comes with it.

I know it's alot of work but it would be really helpful to have a 1 page comparison table of what each one does. Just scrolling down that page doesn't give much info (i'll look on the actual product page in a minute).

Coming from retropie where it's easy to find every system that it supports i'm struggling to find what i need.

Something interesting i did find was the BittBoy V3.5 OpenDingux has save support which is really useful, but now i don't know if the other handhelds do or not.
