There is a tiny hole behind the usb sockets, thats the reset button. Disconnect the power lead and stick a toothpick in that hole, you can feel the button depress on and off. Hold the toothpick in tight on the reset button and coonnect the power lead and turn on ( dont let go of the toothpick at any time until the recovery menu comes on your tv) let me know when you access that

Did you access the recovery menu to wipe box and restore?

Went into back up
and reset. Unclicked both boxes and reset

When you unclicked both boxes, has it wiped the box. As your apps take a few mins to load back on after wiping data

Open that and see if any updates are available for the box

It says 2 updates on the top left corner but also says the ROM developer has not enabled support for this it's updater. Exit or ignore to continue

You can't update it then, just try kodi 16.1 again
