I am having problems downloading new apps, and updating existing ones such as showbox as I keep getting a message saying that I need to free up memory. I have dumped loads of stuff that I don't use, but I keep getting this same message. I can't really dump any more stuff! Any advice appreciated.

First suspect is ShowBox downloads and partial downloads, second would be XBMC/SPMC/Kodi
If you're not certain where the space is being taken up, open the ES File Explorer app and close the intro screens by clicking OK a few times. Now expand the Tools menu on the left and select the SD Card Analyst option.
You can now click on folders to discover which files are taking up a lot of room on your device.
