Will the Link2SD App work on the Droidbox? I am no expert but it looks like most of the bloatware and its data can be moved to the SD card using this app - freeing up RAM. Would this enable me to increase the buffer zone for smoother playback at Hi Res?
Advice please.

Try it out. If you don't like an app, you can remove some of them. You'd be saving some storage space (ROM, rather than RAM) if you moved them from internal to SD card, just don't forget to check whether moving to the SD card is actually moving them to an external SD card, or just the internal area labelled SD card (see the 4th or so paragraph here - https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/the-advert-stated-4-or-8-16-gb-rom-i-see-a-lot-less-why/ ).
ZDBox will also work for moving apps around, and has some other abilities as well. Check out the thread that mentions it - Tweaking Apps

Thanks for the advice. I will check the apps out and get back to you. As to the RAM/ROM typo I get the difference but fingers have a life of their own sometimes!
