Ok. I checked and your box has a rockchip chip so the amcodec stuff would not work although if there are other options to force hardware acceleration you might try them.
Something else to try.
When you try to play a link, depending on what type of keyboard/remote you have, when you click on a link, see if there is a "play with" option (on a Droidbox device it is often the menu button, pressing the "c" button on a keyboard may also work). Select play with f4mtester. If f4mtester is not installed, install it.
