Are you using the cursor keys to navigate there, or the Air Mouse function on the remote (wave it around, an on screen cursor moves)?
Also, which Xtreamer model are you using?

Can you grab us tomorrow for a live text chat via our main site? I'd like to remote in to your device and get to the bottom of this, if/when you have the time. 10am-5.30pm. Probably best to avoid around 12pm-1.15pm if you want me specifically, as I'll likely be eating :)

OK, here we go...
Carried out with a T8 device, so your screenshots will differ a little (different launcher, same principles should apply)

20161014_104435_0.png
Open the Play Store application on your device and search for Tincore Keymapper

20161014_104448_0.png
Click on the correct search result and select install

Once installed, you can either open it immediately, or if you're not in the Play Store next time, you'll find the app listed as normal amongst the other applications

20161014_105827_0.png
If Android worries that the app isn't responding in a timely manner, reassure it with a "Wait" button click.
Once Tincore Keymapper has analyzed your system, you'll have an introductory screen and images to check through.

20161014_105931_0.png
Once the intro screen is closed, it may appear that the app has vanished. It is now residing in your notification area. For most Kitkat or earlier devices, if you can't see the notification drawer move the Air Mouse cursor to the top left and drag down.

Open the application you want to have remapped keys in, then bring the notification screen down again and click the Tincore Keymapper entry to make it visible.

The exact name of the entry you need will vary depending on the controller you're using, but it should stand out.

20161014_110018_0.png
Now click on the entry related to clicking with your controller in Air Mouse mode.

20161014_110020_0.png
Select the Touch screen option (instead of a "normal" Android mouse click, you can now directly emulate touching the screen with your controller.

20161014_110106_0.png
You can now turn off Tincore's visibility in the same was as you turned it on, bring the notification drawer down and click Tincore's entry once more.

Don't worry about saving anything for now, as...

Fingers crossed that now the Megabox application admits the clicks are being made and button's will work.

You can use this same application to remap gamepads and other controllers to emulate different types of peripherals. http://tincore.freewiki.in/index.php/Configuration has a lot more information.

If the above works, it is worth watching a YouTube video or two on using the application properly, the above is to test if it helps. If it does, you can make sure the settings are saved and automatically apply. We'll make sure it works first though @steross !
Will copy this content across to a proper How To page later, just wanted to ensure you had the info as soon as I could.

Sorry for the delay. OK, looks like that approach won't work then, shame as it looked to hit the nail on the head. Hoping you've found alternatives with other apps/add-ons, sorry we couldn't resolve the issue here.
