Hi,
I have a T8 android box.
Yesterday I tried the toothpick reset because it was in boot mode for 2 days, but the box got frozen while erasing so I unplugged it and attempted the reset again. However it never reset, the screen that I previously saw which was erasing came up and up till today it still shows actively erasing. Did my box crash and is there anything I can do to repair it? Or should I replace. I love this box had it since 2014.

Have you tried reflashing the firmware? There's a guide for doing so at the top of this subforum:
https://droidboxforums.com/threads/t8-se-firmware-links.12538/
(If your T8 model is NOT the T8 SE, please do not follow this guide)

If reflashing the firmware doesn't work, that's unfortunately the extent of what we're able to advise in this situation.
If you're in the market for an update, we sell a variety of more modern boxes here: https://droix.net/collections/android-powered-tv-box-1
Seeing as the T8 is from 2014, it will be running a version of android that will steadily see less and less support as time goes on, so updating may be a wise decision regardless
