No weather any more

Hi, since the end of last week I’m having problem with the weather showing up on my device, just saying, Locating by network... I’m obviously connected to the network as everything else works fine.

Interestingly, my son’s T8-S Plus v1 has the same problem from about the same time. It cannot be edited either.

I’ve not updated it since new, so was wondering if that would affect it.

Any ideas?

As far as i can remember the weather thing hasn't worked for a long time, since the provider did something to their servers. Certainly since 2016

The weather widget was working in newer devices but since last week it is no longer providing data. We are currently looking into it to see what the issue is.

There has been a recent change in the way Yahoo provides weather data to devices using the weather widget. You can read more about the changes and some alternative homescreen apps at https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/whether-weather-will-work/.

Please note that this does not affect the operation of your device in any way other than displaying the weather on the homescreen. Your internet connection will still work fine and you can confirm this as it will show the correct time and date.
