Only had my T8-S a week and been using optical out to my amp which has all been good. Decided to install wookie and now everything seems to just play in standard stereo so only sound is via HDMI to TV. Ive checked the wookie audio settings and tweaked a few but makes no difference. If I flip to openelec and play the same film it automatically outputs digital again through the optical out. Sure this is just a setting and ill find it if i look and mess about but maybe someone can save me some time please!?

@cropsprayer Did you install the Wookie Wizard into Kodi, or the Wookie SPMC APK?
If you're using their APK, I'd try uninstalling, installing 15.2 from our blog - https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/kodi-15-2-final-released/ - and then following the steps here for the Wizard - https://openstreams.wordpress.com/
If using the Wookie Wizard in the original Kodi caused this behaviour, can you see if DBMC from https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/kodi-xbmc-download/ has the same problem? It might also be worth asking @David Savage nicely if he has a moment, as he has surround sound equipment and might be able to compare his settings to yours.

Thanks guys but not been able to check any of this......got home tonight powered it on and every time I boot into android and try to go into xbmc I get a droidbox splash screen and progress bar saying preparing for first run, then screen goes black. If I retry it's a black screen and if I restart and try again I get the same splash screen then black screen.

Booting into openelec works fine.

Actually I've now gone into kodi and cleared data and can get it to run again now but obviously no wookie so I'll install again. It does says it's running kodi 15.1 rc1 though so am I best sticking 15.2 on first before setting up again?
