OTA Updater Issue

Hi,

I've checked to see if there was an update in the OTA Updater and it says version 1.1.5 is available. When i click on the button to download it says 'there was an error with the download'. I've clicked on the 3 dots in the top right corner and then gone to 'view downloaded ROMs' and it shows up 3 files; b, che and ared_prefs. Is one of these the file I need to select to update my box?

Can you recheck something. You've posted in the t8s forum so assuming you have a droidbox. The latest firmware version is advertised as version 3 according to their release video. You've quoted 1.1.5 (which is also a different version to the t8s plus firmware)

I have a T8S and the same thing is happening to me. I am showing 1.1.5

Suggest you contact support directly on email or via the live chat function on the droidbox main page. Support have not been showing up much on the forum recently.

If you can see KOT49H.20160330 test-keys as the installed version right now (head to Settings>the Other tab>More Settings>About phone or device if it isn't shown on screen right now), then you can safely ignore the offer of a new update, as it is already in place.

I too have the same issue with the OTA updater but the ROM is KOT49H.20150430, the ROM Version is 1.0.1 (Apr 30, 2015 8:00:00PM). The OTA Updater ID is DroidBOXT8DUALBOOTTEST and the available updates are given as DroidBOX T8-S DUAL BOOT TEST (version 1.1.5). Can anyone assist please?

1) Check the free space you have left on your device. Settings>Other tab>More Settings>Storage . Let us know the amount shown for "available"

2) Factory reset (if you do this, don't worry about free space left) - see

then re-run the OTA app

3) If those don't help, send us an e-mail, see sig for details.
